The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering expert services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it can be alarmed about the higher quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office focused on service the area on a daily basis. The service issue made for intervention encounters a higher influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In SRD this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to allow the servicing of all customers and raise entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
